Access note: Collecting is allowed at the public shoreline area at Lake Stanley Draper, known locally as Rose Rock Island, with a limit of about six rose rocks per person. The lake is owned by the City of Oklahoma City, so follow posted park rules and take only loose surface specimens. Across the rest of Cleveland and Oklahoma counties rose rocks turn up in road ditches and creek banks, but nearly all of that land is private and needs the owner's permission.
