Land status here is not confirmed. National and provincial parks prohibit collecting, while Crown land and many beaches allow it. Verify with the managing agency before you collect.

Access note: Long beach in Island View Beach Regional Park on the Saanich Peninsula, run by the Capital Regional District. Agate, jasper, dallasite and epidote are reported in the beach gravels. The regional parks bylaw bans removing rock, gravel, sand or minerals from the park without written permission, so look but do not take.
